Profile Information
Indus products are made to be as durable as they are beautiful. All engineered profiles are a multi-ply build using 100% hardwood. Every sub-ply layer has a different grain direction to improve stability. This structure also reduces the expansion and contraction of the finished product. This design improves performance, especially in environments with major variation in humidity and temperature. Engineered flooring can be installed below, on, or above grade.
The hardwood flooring comes in a range of thicknesses and lengths and can be sanded and refinished several times because the product is solid throughout. Available in an extensive range of hardwood species, with the option of a unique, handcrafted, textured finishes or Induro™ aluminum oxide coating and nine layers of ClearVue™ varnish, the solid profile, true to nature, will never fail you.
This is the latest line and has been years in development. It is our most-tested product and has been specially engineered to endure the heaviest of foot traffic. An extra thick top layer of Brazilian hardwood is surfaced onto alternating cross-grained hardwood fillets. Our unique, 100% solid-on-solid construction offers superb stability and durability. Wood choices include species such as Brazilian Pecan, Walnut and Teak, each providing a mix of stunning colors and textures to enhance any room. Solidarity can be installed on and above grade, but is not recommended for drier markets.
This product is for architects and designers who want it all. Exotic hardwoods, mosaic patterns and metallic finishes make for wonderful flooring or wall coverings. Thus, the applications are limitless and unleash your vision and creativity.
Products and Processes
Breathe is an exclusive, natural drying process whereby the lumber is left to breathe and de-moisturize in a fresh air environment for at least six months. for a more durable, dimensionally-stable finished product.
Long Length products are milled and randomly cut longer than the standard 48” of most imports. These longer lengths provide the ultimate in linear elegance with a mix that delivers superlative visual balance and beauty.
A colorless, nine-coat applied crystal clear finish allows brings out the exceptional rich colors and textures of all our exotic hardwood profiles. Thanks to this exclusive process, Indus floors need minimal maintenance and require no waxing.
High-performance aluminum-oxide crystals deliver unprecedented scratch and abrasion resistance. Indus products are designed to meet the higher demands of commercial work spaces.
Hardness Ratings
Most Indusparquet species are harder than domestic woods.

Finish Tests And Quality Control
Indus floors are naturally durable, but we help Mother Nature through testing that assures quality. According to the standards of the Taber Abrasion test, IndusParquet flooring is able to withstand 2200 cycles, almost four times the industry hardwood flooring standard of 600 cycles.
We test for scratches by placing 10, 12, or 14-pound weights on top of the equipment and a coin is placed on its bottom. Resistance can be measured if the pressure applied by the heavy weight when moving the tip of that coin forward and backwards repeatedly doesn’t crack, or break the finish. This test follows norm ASTM D5178 and production lot is approved if there weren’t any deformities in the finish.
This test analyzes cracks, break and dips in the product, usually created by heavy furniture. A 1-pound steel ball is released onto the wood three times from three different heights: 12-inches, 36- and 72-inches. The entire production lot is approved if no damages are seen on the finish of the tested wood. The test follows norm ASTM D-2394.
To determine the resistance of applied finish to separation from the wood, we cut a right angle lattice pattern into the coating, penetrating all the way to the wood. A tape is placed on top of crosshatch cut with pressure. The product is only considered approved when the finish will not detach from the wood after the tape is pulled up quickly. The cross-cut test follows norm ASTM D-3359.
This test verifies the layers of the engineered flooring that are glued to each other. Some pieces of the production lot are selected and submerged in cold water for four hours. We then remove from the water and placed in a kiln with a temperature of approximately 120 degrees for 19 hours. This cycle is repeated three times. Our production lot is only approved if 95% does not detach in the first cycle; or 85% by the third cycle.
Floors may possess a greater range of grain or color variation than found in samples. Color variations due to sunlight exposure over time are a natural characteristic of wood floors.
ASTM Ratings
Indusparquet products ensure the indoor environment is also safe, meeting or exceeding industry standards for safety ratings.
Each of these ratings ensure that Indusparquet hardwood flooring is tested and rated to be the safest flooring.
